Nike Metcon 9 Training Shoes

The Nike Metcon 9 is Nike’s ninth-generation CrossFit and gym training shoe, refined over a decade of athlete feedback and training demands to provide a purpose-built training platform that outperforms running shoes in the specific demands of strength training, metabolic conditioning, and mixed-modality exercise. The flat, rigid heel platform provides the stability required for barbell squats and Olympic lifts — the heel-to-toe drop of the Metcon is 4mm compared to the 8–12mm of most running shoes, allowing the ankle to dorsiflex naturally during deep squats without heel elevation. The React foam midsole provides sufficient impact cushioning for plyometric and jumping movements. The rope climbing section on the inner midfoot uses a textured rubber that grips rope effectively when the foot is curled around it. The wide toe box accommodates natural toe splay under load.
